Postdoctoral Associate
Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences or a closely related field in hand by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in wet lab (cell culture, bench assays), chemical synthesis, and working with mice.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Wan Laboratory of Dr. Ledong Wan at Stony Brook University is seeking two Postdoctoral Associates to join our starting group. Our research will focus on the regulation of alternative splicing (AS) of precursor mRNA in physiological conditions and its dysregulation in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), as well as leveraging these knowledges to develop diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Duties:
● Conduct experiments to investigate the role of RNA splicing in cancer progression.
● Write manuscripts for publication and present research findings at national/international meetings.
● Perform other duties as assigned, such as training new personnel.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
