Division of Infectious Diseases, Duke University School of Medicine
The Taylor lab is recruiting an exceptional post-doctoral scientist to work on studies of the molecular epidemiology and molecular genetics of malaria parasites. The candidate will join an existing team at Duke, Moi University, and the field site in Kenya, and engage with investigators at all sites across various disciplines. The projects will focus on implementing molecular epidemiologic approaches to measure parasite genetic diversity as well as conceptualizing, designing, and implementing experimental genetic approaches to study parasite biology.
Candidates with substantive expertise in molecular parasitology and genetic epidemiology will be considered and have valuable perspectives to add to this work. Irrespective of scientific background, the candidate can expect to join a vibrant academic community, develop essential scientific and professional skills, and conduct translational malaria research with impact. The primary work site is Duke University, with immediate collaborative links to co-investigators in the Dept of Chemistry and Moi University.
