The Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at the University of California, Los Angeles, is currently offering a one-year postdoctoral position for the 2024-2025 academic cycle, with a potential for a one-year extension.

We are inviting applications from individuals who have recently earned a Ph.D. with a specialization in paleoethnobotany or a closely related discipline. The appointed postdoctoral fellow will take on a central role in developing and overseeing the programs and activities within our Paleoethnobotany/Ancient Agriculture Laboratory. We are open to scholars with regional expertise from any area of the world who can bring diverse perspectives to our institute. This position represents an outstanding opportunity to contribute to and shape the study and understanding of agricultural practices through an interdisciplinary archaeological lens.
