Postdoctoral positions are available to study the structure and molecular mechanisms of the sense of touch in Meissner and Pacinian corpuscles. We use structural biology (FIB-SEM) and biophysics (electrophysiology) to understand the mechanism of the sense of touch in somatosensory neurons and mechanosensory corpuscles of animals from different evolutionary clades. The positions are fully funded. 1st year postdoctoral salary starts at $65K and includes health insurance.
