City of Hope is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to pioneer revolutionary chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies. In this role, you will spearhead groundbreaking research, focusing on combining oncolytic viruses with immunotherapies to combat solid tumors. Additionally, you’ll explore the tumor microenvironment for novel combination therapies. Collaborating within a dynamic team, you’ll thrive in our fast-paced, cutting-edge lab environment dedicated to clinical immunotherapy investigations.
As a successful candidate, you will be:
- Conduct cell culture techniques, including aseptic methods for various cell lines.
- Prepare samples for flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemistry.
- Perform functional characterization and assays of T cells.
- Participate in preclinical animal modeling for therapeutic studies.
- Assist in revising and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and procurement of supplies under supervision.
Your qualifications should include:
- PhD in Immunology or Cancer Biology: Backed by a strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Translational Research Expertise: Proficiency in designing and executing projects in a translational research environment to achieve project goals.
- Lab Experimentation Skills: Proven ability to design and execute experiments, analyze results critically, and present findings effectively.
- Contribution to Research Community: Experience in contributing to grant applications, research publications, and participation in national conferences.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills essential for effective collaboration and presentation of research findings.
