爱尔兰都柏林大学学院博士后职位招聘–UCD化学学院
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Chemistry
Reference no – 016844
We invite applications to join SFI funded proposal team working on Non-aqueous Generation of Soluble Inorganic Phosphate (SINFERT) led by Dr Kirill Nikitin. The proposed research is a part of strategic theme Creating a Sustainable Global Society.
This project can answer one of the greatest challenges facing humankind: the inevitable depletion of phosphate mineral resources. The objective of this project is to design an entirely novel method for phosphate extraction and recovery based on new methodology which will radically impact phosphorus fertiliser market and closely related phosphorus chemicals markets. It is hoped that at the end of the final phase of this research, the major undertaking would be construction and operation of a pilot plant scale production facility, patenting and commercialisation strategy and a multi-million-euro European funded network to exploit the technology.
This is an advanced research focused role, building on your prior experience as a post-doctoral fellow where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of the Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop new or advanced research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications and scholarly dissemination, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
