英国东英吉利大学博士后职位招聘–医学和健康科学学院
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring independent researcher (postdoc) to join a vibrant community of applied dementia researchers.
This post is co-funded by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England (ARC EoE) and the University of East Anglia (UEA). The NIHR ARC East of England is a collaboration between the host trust, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, and the Universities of Cambridge, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Essex in partnership with other health and social care organisations, industry, and charities across the region. The aim of the ARC EoE is to support applied health and care research, implementation and capacity building at a local, regional, national and international level. The post will align with the ARC EoE Ageing and Multimorbidity Theme.
The appointed Senior Research Associate will have an opportunity to lead their own project, while further developing their research and implementation skills. The successful candidate will join a regional cohort of postdocs in applied dementia research from our ARC East of England, based at our partner universities. This regional cohort, in turn, is part of the national DEM-COMM cohort. Read more about the funding award here.
At the UEA, we are prioritising applications from candidates with their own research project, which aligns with the work of experts in applied dementia research and the ARC EoE Ageing and Multimorbidity Theme. As such, the successful candidate will work independently, but under the supervision of the most appropriate PI depending on their research focus.
Some examples include TIMES (Killett), ReCOVERY (Poland), APPLE TREE (Minihane), DECISION (Hornberger), iACT4Carers (Kishita), CareCoach (Cross), and other potential supervisors such as Mioshi, Khondoker.
Candidates could also work in existing projects, if able to demonstrate their own expertise and independence, and added value in these existing projects.
Please briefly outline your project on your cover letter. We encourage early contact prior to application, so that applicants can discuss their postdoctoral projects with potential supervisors.
The post is offered on a full-time, fixed term basis from 5 February 2024 to 31 August 2025.
Interviews will be held on 25 January 2024.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
We strongly encourage applicants from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.
