Postdoctoral Fellowship in Perovskite Photovoltaics for Solar-Driven Clean Hydrogen Production (Requires Electrolysis Background)
We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellowship to harness perovskite solar cells for solar-driven clean hydrogen production. The position is embedded within the dynamic Sustainable Optoelectronics Research Group at the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering, Simon Fraser University (Canada). Our Group is at the forefront of research in perovskites and other printable semiconductors for clean energy applications. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be jointly supervised by Dr. Vincenzo Pecunia, expert in perovskites and printable solar cells, and Dr. Min Xu, expert in applied electrochemistry.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for integrating and characterizing perovskite solar cells with electrolyzers, optimizing the fabrication conditions to achieve efficient hydrogen production under solar illumination.
Key Application Requirements:
- PhD in materials science, nanotechnology, chemistry, or cognate areas within the last five years.
- A minimum of three years of proven experience and in the field of (photo-)electrolysis, with a preference given to those with expertise in water electrolysis.
- Demonstrated academic excellence with a cumulative grade point average of 3.9/4.33 (or equivalent in other grading scales) in all prior degrees.
- Demonstrated excellent command of the English language.
- Eligibility for a work permit for Canada if you are not a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
Only applications meeting all key requirements above will be considered. If any requirement is not met, your application will not be considered for this opportunity.
