Contract Duration: 24 Months from 1st April 2024 – 31st March 2026
The Division seeks to appoint a Research Audiologist to work within the NIHR BRC Hearing Health Theme and Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD) at the University of Manchester. This is a full-time post working on a research project funded by the Widex A/S and the NIHR Manchester BRC. The study you will be running will be an effectiveness trial of a new Personalized Communication Strategies Guide (PCSG) for people with hearing loss. Data collection will take place in the Ellen Wilkinson building on the University of Manchester campus and online.
We are looking for an individual who would be comfortable providing person-centred audiological counselling in a research setting and who has experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. This means you could either have audiological clinical experience or have conducted person-centred audiological research.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking post-doc experience or for a clinical audiologist to gain some research experience in a vibrant research setting.
