英国皇家兽医学院博士后职位招聘–兽医流行病学、经济学和公共卫生方向
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter to join the Veterinary Epidemiology, Economics and Public Health Group. You will be responsible for the dayto-day running of a Horserace Betting Levy Board-funded project that aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the former racehorse rehoming sector and explore factors that influence a former racehorse’s suitability for a second career and/or successful rehome. The project encompasses both quantitative and qualitative research methods and the post holder will be required to liaise closely with key stakeholders across the equestrian industry. This project provides a unique opportunity to contribute to industry-led Thoroughbred welfare initiatives and inform relevant strategies and policies.
Our ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject, experience of project management including liaison with multiple stakeholders, strong quantitative data analysis skills and experience of using qualitative research methods. A sound understanding of epidemiological principles is a requirement, as are excellent interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of, and/or a keen interest in, the UK racing industry and other equestrian sports disciplines is essential.
