芬兰图尔库大学博士后职位招聘–免疫学、细胞生物学、分子生物学或生物化学背景
Job Description
Summary
A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr Carlos Rogerio Figueiredo, founder and head of the Medical Immuno-Oncology Research Group (MIORG, see more here: https://www.miorg.fi/). MIORG uses the reverse translational approach to harness the most advanced technologies to profile human cancer samples for the discovery of biomarkers associated with cancer immunotherapy resistance and to perform functional studies with new therapeutic formulations using both animal and human tissues, focusing on biomarker validation and rational therapeutic development.
As part of the Faculty of Medicine, and the Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Turku, MIORG is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to work on comprehensive immune profiling in the context of immune checkpoint therapy (ICT) resistance. The group is funded by the Academy of Finland and prestigious Finnish foundations and the project will involve therapeutic strategies that unleash cancer immunogenicity in cold tumors to improve responses to ICT.
The appointed postdoc will possess complete autonomy in spearheading high-dimensional single-cell cytometry studies. Leveraging our state-of-the-art high-dimensional full-spectral flow cytometers, the researcher will undertake comprehensive immune phenotyping to delineate systemic immune landscapes. These mechanistic studies aim to unravel the intricacies of successful combinatorial strategies, employing our well-established in vivo and ex vivo functional models.
Position Highlights:
Fully funded postdoctoral position focused on unraveling the intricacies of cancer immunotherapy resistance.
Spearhead high-dimensional single-cell cytometry studies using state-of-the-art equipment.
Unique opportunity to thoroughly investigate both animal and human tissues for biomarker discovery and validation.
