伦敦玛丽女王大学博士后职位招聘–统计/流行病学
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology with strong statistical/epidemiological skills to undertake research on the relation between toxic metals (lead, cadmium and arsenic) and health outcomes (lung function, blood pressure, cognitive function) in children and young adults across four English cohorts, under the supervision of Professor Seif Shaheen. This is an MRC-funded project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the merging of new laboratory data with existing data from each of the cohorts (Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC), Born in Bradford (BiB), Determinants of Adolescent Social well-being and Health (DASH), Children’s Health in London and Luton (CHILL)). They will then analyse associations between toxic metal exposures and health outcomes, and explore whether higher exposure is contributing to social and ethnic health inequalities in children and young adults in England.
You will have a PhD in statistics or epidemiology, and /or relevant professional qualification and / or equivalent professional experience, and an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. Considerable experience of quantitative epidemiological analysis is essential, along with an appropriate publication record for level of entry. You will also have fluency in statistical programming using Stata or R package and a strong understanding of the research process.
The post is full time for 2 years to start in April 2024.
