丹麦技术大学博士后职位招聘–土木和机械工程方向
Are you passionate about Clay Minerals and Low-Carbon Cements?
We are seeking someone like you! Join us in advancing innovation by integrating material science, advanced processing techniques, and modelling to gain a comprehensive understanding of mineral processing’s influence on cementitious materials across different scales and timeframes. This position plays a crucial role in our Independent Research Fund Denmark – DFF-Research Project 1, dedicated to developing “A novel ternary blended cement with low-grade clay.” Join our team and contribute to the field of cement research.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to conduct experiments on understanding different activation processes of aluminosilicates, with particular interest in low-grade clays, in cementitious materials. You will have the opportunity to use advanced material characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, X-ray CT, rheology, and multiscale mechanical testing) to characterize the consequences of the activation process of clays on micro- and macro-scale properties of the cements. As a part of this project, your responsibilities will encompass the following tasks:
- Processing and characterization of aluminosilicates and clay minerals
- Multi-scale characterization of cementitious materials using e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, X-ray CT, rheology, and multiscale mechanical testing.
- Life cycle analysis
- Close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Research and teaching efforts at a section and departmental level as appropriate and relevant (e.g., teach and supervise MSc and PhD student projects)
- Dissemination of your research through publications in “reputed journals of the field” and attendance to conferences.
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 18 months.
