About the Opportunity

Conducting research in the broad area of coding and information theory with applications to quantum communication and computation. Specifics tasks include: investigating new error-correcting codes for emerging communication systems under extreme conditions in both classical and quantum settings; developing efficient, low-complexity, and low-latency decoders suitable for these applications; evaluating the performance and comparing with the fundamental limits in both finite-length and asymptotic regimes.

Qualifications:

• A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields;
• Strong track record of publications in high impact journals;
• Excellent technical speaking and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Conducting research, including identifying and tackling research problems,proposing algorithms and solutions, evaluating the performance of theproposed solutions.
• Writing technical papers and research proposals.
• Providing mentorship to junior members of the group including PhD students.
