克利夫兰诊所博士后职位招聘–细胞生物学、免疫学、生物化学或相关学科
Job Description
Highly motivated individuals with a PhD or MD/PhD in relevant area are encouraged to apply. This training position, under the direct supervision of a Cleveland Clinic Principal Investigator will provide practical training and experience in a research setting. This position is appointed through the Lerner Research Institute. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to research, a collaborative work ethic and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This program is expected to be completed within 5 years.
A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Nagy in the Department of Inflammation and Immunity at the Cleveland Clinic to study the role of the innate immune system, including toll-like receptor signal transduction and complement activation, in the progression of alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). The research will focus on the effects of chronic ethanol on key signal transduction pathways in circulating monocytes, hepatocytes and hepatic macrophages with a goal towards understanding the mechanism of development of chronic inflammatory responses and hepatocyte injury in liver.
We are a part of the AlcHepNet consortium with access to samples from both observational and randomized clinical trials in patients with ALD, allowing research to have molecular, cellular, physiological and translational impact. Experience in at least one of the following areas is desired: complement, cell biology, signal transduction, molecular biology, bioinformatics or macrophage biology. Experience in experimental design and data analysis in cultured cells, animal models and human data is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Candidates should have a recent PhD in cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related discipline and experience in signal transduction and cell biology.
