The Anirban Paul lab at Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar at all levels. We are seeking a scholar who has research interests in aging, neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative disorders.

The scholar is expected to work on a NIH funded project that will examine cell type specific risk and resilience during aging and Alzheimer’s Disease. Successful candidate should have experience and skills that would include molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, mouse genetics, RNA amplification and library preparation, and familiarity with bioinformatic pipelines for data analysis of RNA-Seq, Chip-Seq, ATAC-Seq. Knowledge of RNA in-situ (RNAScope) and /or, spatial transcriptoics will be a plus. Candidates are expected to be responsible for writing drafts for publications and training graduate students and technical lab staff.

Candidate will be working with a diverse and vibrant collaborative research team comprised of quantitative biologists, neuroanatomists, imaging experts, and geneticists.

Required qualifications:

PhD or equivalent degree in biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, bio-medical sciences, quantitative biology, organismal biology, systems biology or related any discipline at time of hire.  Proficiency in English is required.
