The NeuroHealth Initiative (NHI) is a joint program with Neuro-Oncology and The Neurodegeneration Consortium. The NHI will pioneer systematic assessments of neurotoxicities, develop predictive risk factors and biomarkers for treatment-related neurotoxicities, enhance clinical decision-making, and improve patient outcomes. These advances will create a first-in-class, evidence-based standard of care for the prevention, detection, and treatment of neurotoxicities, perhaps leading to the creation of a center specializing in neural health.
Research Intern for the MDA’s NeuroHealth Initiative. Provides program coordination for programmatic team and project team leaders. Sets meetings, records meeting notes, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely communications are distributed via email and Teams. Partner with leadership and programmatic team address communications from institutional stakeholders and to execute NHI objectives in order to meet feasibility metrics for patient enrollment in partnership with programmatic leads.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To learn regarding project coordination: arrange meetings, set agendas, record meeting notes, maintain NHI Teams site (upload documents, etc.) To learn to develop project team workflows, and gain knowledge about how to serve as a point of contact between leadership and team leaders To build the know-how needed in developing networks between clinical teams
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. HealthCare management

Preferred experience in working with clinical trials and patient care clinics
POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein – NRSA. This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
