The Postdoctoral appointee must have recently (within the last eight years) been awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., Sc.D., M.D.)
Required Qualifications/Experience
1、Ph.D. in Optics or related field with interest in applied optics.
2、Experience working with optical and mechanical properties of liquid crystal materials.
3、Programming skills, including MATLAB, and Python.
4、Excellent skills for designing and conducting highly specialized and advanced optical experiments.
5、Experience programming, controlling, and automatizing optical experiments that use Spatial Light Modulators.
6、Experience in structured light beams and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities
Job Purpose: To undertake research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator and support the supervision of any students who may be assisting with the research.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced optical experiments in the Active Optics Lab at the Department of Physics and Optical Sciences.
BASIC FUNCTION Performing experiments in the laboratory to support research projects in the Active Optics Lab, which includes but is not limited to setting up and characterizing experimental optical systems, managing the laboratory supplies and equipment, collecting/analyzing data, supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
