Position Summary:
Our group is focused on developing therapies for spinal cord injury patients and other neurological conditions.
This position is to continue two ongoing studies that are developing therapies on an established spinal cord injury model and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. This position is also required to train graduate and undergraduate students on laboratory techniques and supervise their projects. We are looking for a highly motivated young researcher at the junior level with an interest in spinal cord injury.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in Neuroscience or Neurobiology. Extensive knowledge in spinal cord contusion model and therapy development and human umbilical cord blood. Proficient in MASCIS Impactor, Laminectomy, Intraspinal cell transplant, Confocal microscopy, Atomic spectrophotometry, BBB scoring, Immunohistology, and Statistics.
