美国南佛罗里达大学博士后职位招聘–生物化学,微生物学,分子生物学,免疫学或相关领域
POSITION SUMMARY:
Postdoctoral fellow position is available in the lab of Dr. Dazhi Wang at the USF Health Heart Institute in the newly created Center for Regenerative Medicine. Interested candidates will work with lab members on one or more exciting research projects in the lab investigating the molecular mechanisms that regulate muscle development and growth, and their role in human disease. The lab employs mouse cardic and skeletal muscle models, as well as tissue culture. Ongoing projects include studies into the transcriptional regulation and the roles of non-coding RNAs, including microRNAs (miRNAs) and long-coding RNAs (incRNAs), in the regulation of gene expression in normal and diseased cardiovascular systems. Building on these studies, projects to investigate new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of cardiovascular disease are envisioned.
Postdoctoral fellows are expected to develop projects together with the PI (Dr. Wang). Postdocs are expected to demonstrate independence in the design, oversight, and implementation of the daily activities required for the conduct of the research program with guidance from the PI as needed. The PI will work with the postdocs to ensure their career development and has an excellent record of trainees that have transitioned to successful academic and industry positions.
Candidates are encouraged to review the published studies from the lab prior to applying (see link below):
