美国麻省总医院博士后职位招聘–生物学、神经科学、工程学或相关领域
We are pleased to announce the availability of a Postdoctoral Fellowship position at the Mass General Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease (MIND), located within Massachusetts General Hospital and affiliated with Harvard Medical School. This fellowship opportunity will allow the successful candidate to apply advanced imaging techniques, such as multiphoton microscopy, to gain insights into the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and cerebral amyloid angiopathy using mouse models. The ultimate goal of the research is to develop translational approaches to prevent or reverse these conditions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this fellowship will hold a PhD in Biology, Neuroscience, Engineering, or a related field. In addition, they should exhibit strong experimental skills and problem-solving abilities. Previous experience with small animal surgery will be considered a valuable asset.
How to apply:
Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume/CV to Dr. Steven Hou, PhD (shou@mgh.harvard.edu).
PI and Institution
Dr. Hou obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at Harvard University. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and is a principal investigator at the Mass General Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease (MIND). MIND is a pioneering research institution that is dedicated to advancing understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), and Huntington’s diseases. It brings together scientists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to work collaboratively, promoting interdisciplinary research. MIND aims to decipher the mechanisms that cause these diseases, develop effective treatments, and eventually find preventive measures.
