Job Summary
Postdoctoral position available for a highly motivated individual in cancer clinical pharmacology in the Kolesar group. This is a position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science that will perform cancer clinical pharmacology research, including cell culture, animal modeling, cell viability experiments and other relevant assays.
The successful applicant will have the ability to generate relevant oncology genomic research questions and perform complex experiments and data analysis with modest supervision and direction. The selected candidate with also present data at seminars and scientific meetings, assist with manuscript preparation, contribute data to grant proposals and assist with training junior lab members. The candidate will maintain familiarity with the current literature, contribute to study design and analytical approaches as well as execute multiple projects associated with cancer pharmacology.
The major goal of the Kolesar group is to develop and implement genomic cancer medicine. This position will contribute substantially to the mission by identifying novel drug combinations for subsequent drug development. The long- term goal for the post-doctoral fellow is to generate several high impact manuscripts and competitively apply for extramural funding towards the goal of an independent research career.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in clinical cancer therapeutics and genomics combined with developed data analytic skills and an ability to work successfully in an interdisciplinary team.
