The Nanobiosensing, Nanomanufacturing, and Nanomaterials (3N) lab in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher interested in 3-D printing, mechanical design, and lab-on-a-chip technology. As one of the University of California campuses, UCR is ranked #186 in Best Global Universities by U.S. News. The Chemical Engineering department is consistently ranked as a top 50 program in the nation.
Currently, the 3N lab consists of 1 postdoctoral researcher, 6 Ph.D. students, and a couple of undergraduate students. Since 2018, the lab has published approximately 30 journal articles, with 12 of them featured either as front cover, inside front cover, back inside cover, or complementary cover. The lab has established strong and fruitful collaborations with top universities and industry partners worldwide.
Riverside, located in the heart of Southern California, is renowned for its affordability, growing economy, sunny weather, scenic hills and valleys, and enviable location between the beach and the mountains. The UCR campus is within a 1-hour driving distance to downtown Los Angeles and a 1.5-hour driving distance to San Diego.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
• Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, or chemical engineering.
• Expertise in 3-D printing, mechanical design, and materials science. Prior knowledge of biochemistry or analytical chemistry would be a plus.
• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
