Engineering/Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, University of Notre Dame
Prof. Jian-Xun Wang’s research group http://sites.nd.edu/jianxun-wang/
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated full-time postdoctoral researcher to contribute to an innovative project focused on data-driven modeling for multi-physics computational mechanics. Specifically, our aim is to develop data-driven, physics-informed simulation tools for electrochemical machining, a multi-physics process involving fluid flow, current density distribution, electrochemical reactions, and heat transfer. We will leverage experimental data from our industry partner, Voxel Innovations Inc., for the development of these models. The selected candidate will collaborate with researchers from the University of Notre Dame and Voxel Innovations Inc., integrating data, physics governing equations, and machine learning. The ultimate goal is to create predictive models and simulations for multi-physics systems.
