加州大学旧金山分校博士后职位招聘–分子和细胞生物学方向
Onur Cil, MD, PhD is hiring postdoctoral fellows and research specialists to join his lab at UCSF. The research focus of the laboratory is disease mechanisms and drug discovery for renal, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, pulmonary and ocular diseases. The diseases of interest include kidney stones, edema, polycystic kidney disease, hypertension, diarrhea, constipation, asthma and dry eye. Approaches include high-throughput screening of small molecule libraries using cell-based assays developed in the lab, and compound testing and optimization using cellular assays and rodent models. In addition, Cil lab has the synthetic chemistry infrastructure for derivatization of the lead compounds. The Lab also works on repurposing of approved drugs for new indications. The identified compounds are used for hypothesis-driven physiological research and as candidates for drug development for human diseases. The Cil laboratory is well-funded and has active collaborations with international research groups. For more information on the research program visit https://cillab.ucsf.edu/
Applicants for the postdoctoral and specialist positions must hold a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Background in molecular and cellular biology required, with experience in cell culture and animal models. We are separately seeking candidates with experience in assay development and high throughput screening. Ideal candidates should have good written/oral communications skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, be highly organized, and have a documented record of research accomplishments. The candidates will participate in grant preparation, manuscript writing, and presentation of research at scientific conferences.
Applicants for the lab manager position must hold at minimum a baccalaureate or masters degree. Background in molecular and cellular biology required, with experience in cell culture, plasmid design and transfection, and other molecular biology techniques. The candidate will also have administrative duties, including supervision of personnel, organization and ordering supplies. The candidate will spend approximately 50% of time on research and 50% on administrative duties. Ideal candidate should have good written/oral communications skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and be highly organized.
Applicants should send a brief description of their research interests and a curriculum vitae that includes contact information for three references to onur.cil@ucsf.edu
