The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in indoor air quality and health. The appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for an additional year depending on funding availability. Priority is given to applicants with research expertise and a track record of scholarship in indoor air quality, building energy and environmental systems, and human health. The position will lead a research project investigating the effectiveness of air cleaner interventions for improving COPD-related health outcomes.
COMMUNICATIONS
The position entails written, verbal, and electronic communication; mentorship of student researchers; and coordinating with partners and participants.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Ph.D. in civil, architectural, or environmental engineering or related fields
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of indoor air quality field measurements and research study design; strong data analysis skills and organizational skills to manage a complex project; some knowledge of statistical analysis for epidemiological research a plus

No budget authority or supervision of employees
Physical Environment and Requirements
Position will require field work visiting participants homes to deploy and retrieve data loggers and air cleaners
