Postdoctoral Researcher
University of Oxford
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Translational Neuropsychology Group (PI Nele Demeyere) at the University of Oxford. This is a 3-year position funded by an advanced NIHR fellowship awarded Prof Demeyere, entitled “Improving the post-stroke cognitive care pathway”
The role will involve designing, conducting, analysing and disseminating research aimed at developing a cognitive carepathway for stroke survivors, and subsequent initial feasibility for a service-level intervention cluster randomised trial.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to work independently within a team of researchers focused on contributing to the understanding of long-term post- stroke trajectories, as well as designing complex interventions. This will entail mixed methods work, using a range of behavioural, neuroimaging and statistical methods, including risk prediction modelling, as well as qualitative interviews, prediction modelling and co-design. The post also offers opportunities for career development, including co-supervision of PhD and undergraduate student projects.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Psychology, Clinical Neurosciences, Medical Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health or Statistics, and are expected to have an excellent track record for their stage of career and either have methods or topical experience in line with the project goals.
The post is full time for a fixed term of 3 years in the first instance.
Only applications received before 12:00 midday on 3rd January 2023 will be considered.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
