美国加州大学戴维斯分校博士后职位招聘–基因工程、分子微生物学和生物化学方面
The Fan lab at the Departments of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar and a Ph.D. graduate research assistant.
Dr. Fan’s primary research interests are advancing technologies for producing fuels and chemicals from renewable resources, including metabolic engineering, biocatalyst development, fermentation process development, and modeling.
The postdoctoral scholar will work on an exciting fungal genetic engineering project funded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and in collaboration with a biotech company.
Position Qualifications:
A Ph.D. with a strong background in genetic engineering, molecular microbiology, and biochemistry is required. Experience with filamentous fungus genome editing using CRISPR technology is a plus.
The salary range is approximately $59,000 to $69,000 per year, depending on qualifications and
experience.
The Ph.D. student will work on a project on novel cellulosic biomass pretreatment processes, a novel process for sugar acid production, process design, and economic analysis. Students with a background in chemical engineering, biotechnology, or bioengineering are welcome to apply. UC Davis’s graduate application does not require a GRE score.
The stipend range is approximately $30,000 per year, plus full tuition and fee remission.
Please submit a CV and a summary of your research experience via email to
