南丹麦大学博士后职位招聘–数学和计算机科学系
The Data Science and Statistics Group, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science(IMADA) at the University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a paid postdoctoral research fellowship position within the field of statistical learning theory to be filled as soon as possible, earliest by 1 April 2023 and latest anytime within 2023, for a period of two years.
The research project aims to broaden our theoretical understanding of online algorithms for model-based reinforcement learning. The project will search for major contributions to the field of PAC-Bayesian learning theory provisionally and its implications to theoretically-guided development of sequential decision making algorithms. The details of the topic scope will be tuned in collaboration with the successful candidate. The project is funded by a prestigious domestic grant.
IMADA has the unique feature of bringing mathematicians and computer scientists together within a single department to foster theoretically-supported data science research. IMADAis home to many ongoing externally funded research projects, as well as to a rich curriculum of data science courses. Data Science and Statistics Group is a synergy platform for the data science experts at IMADA.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD degree earned via a world-class research output in statistical learning theory or reinforcement learning theory documented by first-author publications at the tier-1 level in fundamental machine learning research venues including ICML, NeurIPS, UAI, AISTATS, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, JMLR, PAMI, etc.. From the candicates we expect excellent scientific writing skills in English. The successful candidate will participate in research projects and assist in student supervision.
