NIH-funded postdoctoral position immediately available to study physiological functions and pathological alterations in endothelial cells. Projects include studying the regulation of arterial contractility by signaling and trafficking of novel proteins expressed in endothelial cells. Approaches include the extensive use of inducible and cell-specific knockout mouse models, molecular biology and biochemistry, immunofluorescence, super-resolution microscopy, high-speed dual-inverted lightsheet (diSPIM) calcium imaging, arterial myography and blood pressure telemetry. Lab members receive in-depth mentoring and training to pursue their career goals. This position includes a full benefits package. Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry and cardiovascular physiology is preferred, but not necessary. Required qualifications include a PhD or MD in physiology or a related field.
