A postdoctoral position is available at the University of California, San Francisco, to study the role of GPCR signaling in neuro-glia biology and neurodegeneration. The applicant will join a vibrant brain science laboratory and use the vertebrate model zebrafish combined with cutting-edge technologies including precise genome editing, in vivo imaging, and data analysis. Some examples of our published work include: Dong et al., Neuron 2012; Sun et al. Elife 2013; Zhao et al., Science Adv. 2021, Kim et al., Elife 2021, Wagle et al., Molecular Psychiatry, 2022). The successful applicant should have a recent PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degrees in relevant fields and high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. The following prior experience is essential: microscopy/imaging, computational/statistical skills, and molecular biology. We encourage candidates from under-represented backgrounds to apply.
