杜兰大学博士后职位–分子生物学、病理生理学或营养相关生物医学
Two NIH-funded postdoctoral research associate positions are availablefrom January 1st, 2023 onwards in Dr. Wenke Feng’s research laboratory at Tulane University School of Medicine. The Feng Laboratory investigates intestinal mechanisms that regulate liver pathophysiology and microbiome responses using state-of-the-art experimental approaches, including single-cell sequencing, multi-omics, intestinal organoid culture, gut microbiome transplant, extracellular vesicles, and other genetic and molecular biology approaches to understand the role of gut microbiome, intestinal barrier integrity, intestinal neuronal regulation, and bile acid homeostasis in liver diseases. Our goal is to develop microbiome-based therapy to treat/prevent liver diseases and neurological disorders. We are seeking ambitious and outstanding postdocs who are interested in studying the following research areas:
(1)Non-coding RNAs in intestinal homeostasis
(2)Mechanisms of intestinal bile acid regulation and immunoregulation of antimicrobial peptides
(3)Regulation and application of extracellular vesicles from host and bacteria
(4)Probiotic application and mechanisms of actions.
Tulane University provides NIH scale salary for postdoctoral associates. Motivated applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; and research experience in the field of molecular biology, pathophysiology, or nutrition-related biomedical research. Applicants will be preferred with extensive research experience on the in vitro tissue culture and in vivo animal models.Experience in liver, intestine, or microbiology research is desired, but not required. The applicants are expected to be independent, highly motivated with strong drive to succeed, capable to oversee all aspects of their projects and team players. Recent related publications in the research group can be found in Pubmed: Cell Host Microb 2022, PMID: 36150396; Hepatology 2022 PMID: 3568910; Cells 2021 PMID: 34943840; Hepatol Commun 2021, PMID: 34027273; J Pathol 2020, PMID: 33245573; Hepatology 2020 PMID: 331571251; Mol Metab 2019 PMID: 31668386, J Nutr Biochem 2020 PMID: 31760308; J Hepatol 2018 PMID: 29803899.
