Job Description
A position is available as a Postdoctoral Scholar – Employee in the group of Prof. Michael Pirrung in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Riverside, conducting research in protein engineering in collaboration with Prof. Jiayu Liao in the Department of Bioengineering. Candidates should have a demonstrated command of molecular biology, work well both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates should have received the PhD degree within the past two years. Knowledge of and experience in enzymology, protein structure, and/or bioluminescence is also desirable for this opening. Applicants should provide a cover letter, complete CV (including the names of three professional references), and a brief description of their past research. This position will offer an initial one-year appointment that may be extended by mutual consent, contingent on the availability of funds.
