This Postdoctoral Scholar position is available immediately in Dr. Chalet Tan’s laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), which is supported by NIH-funded projects. The main research focus of Dr. Tan’s group is to develop and investigate novel formulation strategies for sustained/targeted drug delivery and immunotherapy. The candidate is expected to perform independent research and contribute to new ideas, to use organizational skills and multitasking to accomplish multifaceted research goals. Primary responsibilities are to carry out pharmacokinetic and formulation studies, and to provide guidance to graduate students in the lab.
PhD in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, analytical chemistry, immunology or a closely related discipline.
The candidate must have at least four years of PhD training with first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals. Expertise in nanomedicine, pharmacokinetics, molecular and cell biology, and/or immunology is desirable. Prior postdoctoral experience is a plus.
