Postdoctoral Position to study the functional roles of lymphangiogenesis in pancreatic diseases
Pancreatitis is the leading cause of gastrointestinal disease-related hospital admissions and carries substantial socioeconomic burden. Acute pancreatitis is characterized by transient local inflammation and tissue damage resolution. This process entails noticeable changes in the organ-associated lymphatic vasculature. A postdoctoral researcher position is immediately available in the Sosa-Pineda laboratory at Northwestern University (Chicago) to investigate the role of the lymphatic vasculature in pancreatitis. The study will use mouse models of acute and chronic pancreatitis, 3D imaging, and state-of-the art techniques. Highly motivated candidates who recently obtained a PhD or MD degree and have a strong background in disease mouse models and vascular biology are encouraged to apply.
