Postdoctoral Position: Division of Biostatistics, Department of Population Health, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York University

research, and medical education. The Department of Population Health in the NYU School of
Medicine was founded in 2012, and consists of core areas of biostatistics, epidemiology, healthful
behavior change, comparative effectiveness and decision science, behavioral economics and health
policy, and medical ethics.
Duties and responsibilities:
The post-doctoral candidate will collaborate with Drs. Andrea Troxel and Erinn Hade on developing statistical methods in clinical trials and for inference with complex observational study data. Potential topics include development of methods for adaptive platform clinical trials, group level interventions and stepped wedge trials, or in methods to improve generalizability. Topics will be motivated by relevant design and analysis issues encountered in practice.
Position qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related area. Strong statistical knowledge in clinical trials, causal inference, and computational and programming skills (in R and/or Python) are preferred. Successful candidate will have strong communication skills (written and oral) and organizational skills. Self-motivated and collaborative individuals are encouraged to apply.
