The Gao lab at the University of Washington, Department of Bioengineering (https://bioe.uw.edu/portfolio-items/gao/) invites applications from qualified candidates for a postdoc position in the research areas of biologics delivery and cellular imaging.
The Gao lab develops novel materials and bioassays for the detection, analysis, and treatment of human diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, and neurological disorders. His lab is interested in technologies that are interesting, innovative, and impactful on biology and medicine. Below please find a few representative publications on what they do (1) https://www.nature.com/articles/s41551-017-0082 (2) https://www.nature.com/articles/s41551-018-0214-1 (3) https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/6/25/eabb0310
Candidates must be self-motivated and have a strong publication record. Candidates with experience in molecular biology (molecular cloning, protein design, expression, characterization, PCR, etc) and/or bioengineering (chemical synthesis, imaging, drug delivery, etc) are strongly encouraged to apply. Interested individuals should forward a letter of application, curriculum vitae, and names (with address, phone number, and e-mail) of three professional references to Dr. Xiaohu Gao at firstname.lastname@example.org.
