英国利兹大学博士后职位—心血管工程
Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Engineering
University of Leeds
Description
In this role, you will explore novel concepts in cardiovascular device design with a particular focus on replacement heart valves and stents. You will use advanced computational aided design tools to generate parameterised geometries, exploiting both scripted and graphical methods.
Holding a PhD (or have submitted your thesis before taking up the role) in cardiovascular engineering or a closely allied discipline; you will have experience in advanced finite element analysis, preferably using ABAQUS Explicit. Not only will you have the aforementioned computational engineering skills, but you will also have an aptitude for creative design concepts, device prototyping and engaging with industry. Initially, you will support the development of a new concept for the repeated replacement of prosthetic heart valves once they begin to degenerate. An overview of some recent research can be found here and an example of a recently granted patent from our group can be found here .
In support of the above, you will work with clinicians and other experts across a range of inter-disciplinary fields.
