The role/Temahi
The Religion Programme at the University of Otago invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Religion. We welcome applicants from a range of disciplines and specialties, but applicants should have strong statistical training.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to lead the analysis and writing of manuscripts emerging from cross-cultural data collected as part of the Evolutionary Demography of Religion Project.
Your skills and experience/Kāpūkeka me kāwheako
Applicants should have completed a PhD by November 2022. A background in evolutionary anthropology, evolutionary demography or evolutionary religious studies is desirable, though not required. Applicants should also have an energetic and enthusiastic commitment to research and an active research profile.

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment until 30 June 2024, located in Dunedin. Ideally, the applicant will commence by 1 November 2022, though an earlier or later start date can be negotiated.
