We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team, who will contribute to our objectives of improving self-management of people living with chronic conditions. This will involve working on multiple projects including design and testing of patient reported outcome measures and screening tools and clinical trials of self-management interventions. The ideal Postdoctoral Fellow will have a strong background in measurement and study design, quantitative data analysis and a demonstrated interest in health research. The Postdoctoral Fellow will lead data analysis of existing projects and contribute to grant applications for subsequent projects. They will have the opportunity to build their publication portfolio and mentor trainees, and will work with a team of talented research trainees and staff. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision of Dr. Tanya Packer, Director, School of Health Administration and Professor, School of Occupational Therapy. While this position’s home School will be Health Administration, the postdoctoral fellow will also collaborate with the Occupational Therapy team.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a PhD in a relevant field such as biostatistics, epidemiology, measurement or health services. The candidate should have expertise in quantitative methods including study design and analytics with strong skills using analytical software (e.g. Stata, SAS, or R). Measurement expertise and experience developing patient reported measures is a strong asset.
Requirements:
Design and analysis of quantitative studies, particularly measurement studies.
Contribute to grant development, ethics applications and report/manuscript writing.
Contribute to the supervision of research trainees.
Work towards an independent program of research.
Contribute to existing projects, including a non-inferiority fatigue management trial for people with multiple sclerosis (MS), development of low vision self-management screening tool and development of self- management measurement instruments.
Salary Range/Pay Rate $50,000 – $55,000 per annum Additional Information
