JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The successful applicants are expected to work with the statistics faculty in the department and develop a robust research program, and contribute to the teaching mission of the department. Candidates will also have the opportunity to contribute to WPI’s growing interdisciplinary programs, in particular to the Data Science Program and to the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology program. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, or related area. The appointment will be for up to three years with annual renewal based on satisfactory performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties involve research in the mathematical sciences along with a teaching load that is normally four 7-week courses per year. The field of research is open, however alignment to the research interests of the faculty in the department is strongly preferred.
