Ref. 06744
Salary according to German TV-L E13 (100%)

We are an interdisciplinary team of scientists and physicians dedicated to the study of (auto-)immune mechanisms of neuroinflammatory diseases. We take advantage of a unique infrastructure facilitating access to clinical samples and state of the art techniques.
Within this project this unique infrastructure will be used to investigate the pathomechanism of distinct forms of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) with a special focus on cytotoxic T cells in the blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and CNS. Therefore, a wide spectrum of techniques including TCR sequencing, flow cytometry, cell isolation and sorting, RT-PCR, and next generation sequencing will be employed. Resulting high-dimensional data will be analyzed for common and specific traits characterizing AE subtypes and paving the way for novel treatment regimens.
We are looking for a highly motivated experienced postdoctoral scientist willing to contribute to the emerging field of (auto-)immunity in neuroinflammatory diseases.
The qualified candidate should have a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in biology, pharmacy, chemistry or biochemistry or a related scientific discipline. The candidate should be able to work independently but also to be a team player, and share our passion for understanding immune-cell interactions in autoimmunity. Hands-on experience in flow cytometry, next generation sequencing, or computational biology will be most advantageous for the present position and such applicants will be given preference. Good written and oral communication skills in English are also required. The ideal candidate will be interested in developing her/his own research profile including the ability to acquire independent third-party funding.
Please send your application with all relevant information (motivation letter, CV) with the reference number until 09.02.2022 to Personalgewinnung des Universitätsklinikums Münster, Bewerbermanagement, Domagkstraße 5, 48149 Münster or via email to Bewerbung@ukmuenster.de.
Applications from female candidates are particularly encouraged. In the case of equal qualifications, competence and specific achievements, women will be considered on preferential terms within the framework of the legal possibilities unless reasons specific to an individual male candidate predominate. Handicapped candidates with equal qualifications will be given preference.
The University Hospital of Münster is one of the leading hospitals in Germany. Such a position cannot be achieved by size and medical successes alone. The individual commitment counts above all. We need your commitment so that even with little things we can achieve great things for our patients. There are many possibilities open for you so that you may develop with them.
