Post-Doctoral Position In Plant Cell And Developmental Biology (F/M/D)
The Centre for Organismal Studies at Heidelberg University invites applications for a Ph.D. position (39,5h/week) starting in February / as soon as possible:
Job description:
The successful candidate will use a multidisciplinary approach, combining:
Cell biology (confocal & light sheet microscopy),
Quantitative approaches (image analysis, biophysics)
And functional genetics (CrispR/Cas) to understand how plant cells resume growth and reacquire meristematic features
Your profile:
You hold a Ph.D. in (plant) molecular biology with an emphasis on cell or developmental biology
You have a solid experience in microscopy and some knowledge in image analysis and quantitative approaches (Fiji, R, python)
You have published at least one first-author research paper of importance to your current field of research
You take initiative, work independently and co-operatively within a team, and have a hands-on mentality, perseverance, and critical mind-set
You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English, both orally and in writing
