One postdoctoral position is immediately available in Dr. Hongbo Pang lab, Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Minnesota (Minneapolis). Pang lab harnesses interdisciplinary technologies to discover peptide-based targeting tools and novel biomarkers for human diseases, develop novel diagnosis and therapies, and explore novel cellular and physiological processes. We are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join in our research effort of dissecting out cellular transport pathways that mediate the cellular uptake of macromolecule cargo (e.g. nanoparticles), as well as cargo transport between cells. This project is funded by federal and local grants.
The successful candidate will be also exposed to diverse research activities in our group, spanning from phage display screening, peptide-guided drug delivery, nanotechnology and novel therapeutics development.
We are interested in applicants holding a PhD degree in a broad range of scientific fields, such as molecular and cell biology, nanotechnology, drug delivery, cancer and inflammatory diseases, bioinformatics, and so on.
The candidate should also have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and writing skills.
