Postdoctoral positions (experiential or computational) are available in murine and human innate immune interactions or precision medicine approaches during development of rheumatoid arthritis or systemic sclerosis. The laboratories of Drs. Harris Perlman and Deborah Winter are looking for a MD/PhD, MD, or PhD candidates with a strong background and expertise in one of the following areas:
- Immunology (expertise in innate immunity)
- Computational biology (strong quantitative background and interests in functional genomics including scRNAseq and scATAC seq analysis)
Specific projects will be discussed with potential applicants depending on their field of expertise and interests. Projects are centered around several main themes (not in specific order): macrophage heterogeneity contribution to rheumatoid arthritis and systemic sclerosis: non-classical tissue monocyte control of rheumatoid arthritis. Aging and rheumatoid arthritis. computational centered tools for development and analysis of precision medicine approaches to predict therapeutic efficacy.
Several positions are available for up to two-year appointments pending final approval by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). The applicant must have US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status at the time of appointment.
