法国国家科学研究中心(CNRS)分子生物学、遗传学、生化学博士后职位
Fixed-Term Postdoc In Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry M/F
Universities And Institutes Of France
Description
Organisation/Company: CNRS
Research Field: Biological sciences › Biology
Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)
Application Deadline: 24/12/2021 23:59 – Europe/Brussels
Location: France › GIF SUR YVETTE
Type Of Contract: Temporary
Job Status: Full-time
Hours Per Week: 35
Offer Starting Date: 01/02/2022
The postdoc will have to: – implement experimental approaches already established in the lab as well as propose and apply innovative strategies in collaboration with the team members. – present work progress and obtained results in the frame of lab/consortium meeting as well as upon national/international scientific conferences. – contribute to the writing of scientific articles and grants. – follow-up regularly the scientific literature. – contribute to the formation and supervision of students in the lab.
The selected candidate will participate to a research project which aims at characterizing and understanding the role of long non-coding RNAs in the control of sexual differentiation in fission yeast. He/She will be involved in the conception and implementation of experimental strategies as well as in data analysis to determine the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which different long non-coding RNAs regulate the expression of the meiotic program during gametogenesis.
The I2BC is a very large CNRS, CEA, Université Paris-Saclay research unit located on the CNRS campus of Gif-sur-Yvette. The unit gathers about sixty research teams distributed within 5 scientific departments (Genome Biology, Biophysics/Biochemistry and Structural Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Virology) and has a workforce of about 650 people. The position is assigned to the team “RNA-binding proteins in gene expression and cell differentiation” that belongs to the Genome Biology Department. The team research focuses on the role of RNA-binding proteins and their protein and RNA partners in the control of meiotic gene expression and the regulation of gametogenesis in fission yeast. In this frame, the selected candidate will combine genomic and proteomic approaches with mechanistic studies based on molecular/biochemical techniques and will have access to various leading-edge facilities (high-throughput sequencing, mass spectrometry, cell imaging). Established collaborations with teams expert in protein/RNA imaging and structural biology will also offer a highly dynamic and stimulating environment. The project is funded by the AgenceNationale de la Recherche (ANR). Find out more: https: // www. i2bc.paris-saclay.fr/equipe-rna-binding-proteins- in-gene-exp…
Eligibility criteria
The postdoc should: – be creative, proactive and highly motived, especially for bench work. – hold a PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology and/or Biochemistry. – have a solid theorical knowledge and a practical expertise in RNA biology with, if possible, an experience in the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data. – have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in english and strong abilities for team working, organization and autonomy.
