The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern Medical Center)
Postdoctoral Position Available in Nutrient Sensing and Cancer Biology
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jenna Jewell, at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The Jewell Lab is focused on how cells sense nutrient fluctuations and respond accordingly to control cell growth, cell proliferation, metabolism, and autophagy. Specifically, we have several exciting projects related to how the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) senses nutrients in respect to cancer biology.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. They should be highly motived, and have a strong publication record in peer reviewed journals. Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
Information on our postdoctoral training program and benefits can be found in our Postdoctoral Handbook or at http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/postdocs.
