Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
To serve the University as a strategic partner and legal advisor by collaborating with our campus colleagues to advance the University’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Position Summary
The Higher Education Law Fellow will each engage in a demanding, wide-ranging practice within the Office of University Counsel. Areas of likely focus include student matters, employment law, administrative law, litigation support, constitutional law, business operations and transactions, health care law, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. We are committed to providing rich professional and mentoring experiences to the Higher Education Fellow during their tenure. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A law degree from an accredited school. Licensure is not required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent research and writing skills. Initiative, intellectual curiosity, tenacity; energized by challenges.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Effective team member; aptitude for building positive working relationships at all levels. Ability to juggle shifting priorities and multiple projects; excellent follow- through. Creativity, strategic common sense, good judgment, level-headedness. The desire to be fully engaged in the work and to approach it with energy and passion.
