Postdoctoral Researcher; Brain and Cognition Laboratory
Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford OX3 7JX Grade 7: £33,309-£40,927 p.a.
We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral research assistant to work in the Brain and Cognition Laboratory, reporting to Professor Kia Nobre. The post is based at the Oxford Centre for Human Neuroimaging (OHBA) within the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded for one year).
You will have responsibility for carrying out data collection, analysis, and dissemination of MEG studies investigating attention, memory and/or expectation in the human brain. You will act as a source of information and advice for other members of the group on scientific protocols and experimental techniques, and will contribute to training on MEG analysis.
You will have or be close to the completion of a PhD on human neurophysiology or a closely relevant subject, along with expertise in psychophysics, collecting MEG data and analysing oscillatory dynamics in MEG. With excellent communication skills including the ability to write for publication, you will be able to manage your own research activities and contribute ideas for new research projects.
