芬兰坦佩雷理工大学博士后职位—无人机群的毫米波通信和传感
(MmWave Communication And Sensing For Drone Swarms)
Tampere University Of Technology
Job (project) description
In the project, a multifunction millimetre wave (mmWave) radio concept is proposed to enable the scalable autonomous drone swarm without the need for external positioning and connectivity infrastructures, pre-programmed routine, and human intervention. The integrated mmWave sensing and communications functions are underpinned by the synergy between signal and system-level innovations.
The Postdoctoral Researcher’s position focuses on 3D mmWave channel modelling in high dynamic environments, fast converging time-spatial alignment mechanisms, joint sensing and communications waveform design, high-resolution signal steering and estimation algorithms to enable reliable low latency intra- and inter-swarms communications simultaneously with the high accuracy drone position and motion capturing during swarming tasks with the partial or full absence of external support.
The delivery of the project will enable drone swarm applications in a variety of scenarios, where the communications and positioning facilities are missing. The scenarios include search and rescuing in remote forests, disaster relief, 3D modelling of the indoor and outdoor landscape etc. The deliverables of the project will bring economic and social benefits to the safety, security and digitization of municipal services.
Essential Requirements (for postdoctoral Fellow): The candidate should have a PhD degree (or near PhD completion), knowledge and research experience in wireless communications, radar, radio signal processing, estimation and detection, machine learning, mmWave signal modelling, excellent technical and academic writing and presenting skills
Essential Requirements (for Doctoral Researcher): The candidate should have an MSc degree in related subjects such as electronic engineering, signal processing, communication engineering, computer science with an excellent academic track record, available English test certificates (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS etc.).
Desired Requirements: proficient oral English, open-minded in multiple culture environments and international research community, good interpersonal skills, ability to supervise M.Sc. and PhD students (for the postdoc fellow applicants), the experience of participating in research projects (for the doctoral researcher applicants).
